NieR: Automata Crossover Event

Its worth pointing out that cross over events and collaborations are usually worked out like a year in advance. As it is they are only just thinking about doing a FF15 one as right now they are focused on developing 4.0. That would suggest any crossover with this IP wouldn't happen for likely 1 and a half to 2 years by which point it would seem a bit late to be worth it.

There has been multiple threads of it actually
I do not know if i would want a cross over, it kind of feels odd having characters unrelated to FF come into the game
And this coming from someone who has finished Nier about 10 times

I'm sure most people already know about the quest in RR to get the dyable blindfold, but there's that. Also the garlean body armor you get from the MSQ makes a good body piece for a 9S glamour. Still nothing that really matches 2B dress though that all jobs can use.

We've had crossover events from other games that weren't apart of the FF series though.

Yokai ...
Power Rangers was rather cheesy, but was ok i guess
If players are into story and lore it just feels weird is all and does not belong.
Lightning and Shantotto on the other hand i had enjoyed

Ahem.

The Allagan Empire with the latest raid is revealed to have woken up and communicated with Omega, learning from it many things that advanced their technology.

Omega is a known being that crosses dimensions ever looking to improve itself.

This means that Omega could have observed the events of Nier Automata and shared that information with the Allagans, resulting in the eventual creation of Android units over several generations. The only surviving, though needing repair, units (event wise) being the units A2, 2B, and 9S.

Boom, it now makes sense why we have android units in FFXIV (even though based on what we have seen of Allagan technology they could have developed them on their own eventually) because #Omega.

Oh, this also puts in a reasonable disconnect between FFXIV and Nier Automata where while the android units are inspired by the Nier Automata ones (technically) they are not the Nier Automata androind units (technically) and thus do not need any explanation in their home game.
