Naoki Yoshida Appreciation Thread!

My first impression of Final Fantasy XIV was from all the bad reviews it received.. all the copy paste hell of the landmarks and towns.. and what killed it for me was calling my beloved chocobos "Horsebirds" of all things. I honestly vowed in my heart back in '03 that I would never even touch that travesty much less give it a thought.

But thanks to you, Yoshida-sama, I am happily immersed in the storyline so much I threw away the water wings and let myself drown in it. Although sadly the 1.0 storyline is something I did miss out on, and the lore is beyond my reach. Yet some thanks has to go to the writers as well for having a storyline that repeatedly hit me so hard and so much in succession as if it was a dempsey roll. They broke through this callous heart and made me cry fourteen times. But more than that, is the world itself. The vast beauty that is a treat to my eyes and ears although much has changed from the 1.0 I vehemently denied yet it's knowledge is made known to me by the Speakers Network but, to have that knowledge and to see the wonderous changes to Eorzea and lameting that which has been lost in the transition. I am still ever grateful with this.

I mean have you any idea how much time, I put in this game? And not leveling up, but exploring.. a lot. I mean yeah, I do have a severe case of Exploration Disorder so I really can't wait for Stormblood. You did promise places to traverse to get the highest point for the greatest view.. and I intend to be the first to get there.

Also, I spent a LOT of money on this game, the expenses almost reached $1000 as of now, and honestly I won't even blink at spending even more. Because I love the fact that the money I give goes RIGHT into the game itself to make it more enjoyable. So I am fully happy to support the game in any way I can.. in fact.. MAKE me spend more, please. I mean.. the Magitek Predator in Baelsar's Wall?.. I do have a strong desire for it. Hint hint, nudge nudge, beg, grovel, dogeza.

But all in all.. seriously.. thank you Naoki Yoshida sama. Much love, much adoration, extreme thanks. Honestly thanks. And Thank you so very much for all the hard work, time and effort you put into this game. Thank you for making Final Fantasy XIV be the longest gaming addiction I ever have. /kneel
