Best way to get coms is to be good at your job.
I've got a lot of experience on all job roles. These are a few tips to some of what I do that can help you out if you're struggling to get coms:
Tank
Point the mobs away from the group
Don't needlessly spin/move mobs
Group up trash mobs as tightly as possible to facilitate AOE dps. Addendum to this, if there's a ranged mob gather the group on it.
USE DEFENSIVE COOLDOWNS during large pulls
Keep hate on everything and if for some reason another character gets hate on a mob through no fault of your own grab that hate back quickly
Practice and use stance dancing during bosses to increase dps
Healer
note....when using a specific spell name, this applies to all "equivalent" spells
Don't let anyone die due to a lack of cures (duh)
Be efficient in your cures: don't toss out a Cure 2 when a regen will get the job done. Don't precast medica 2, just makes life difficult for the tank and is wasteful
Stoneskin the tank between pulls
Learn to Cleric Stance dance and use regens/fairy to give yourself more time in Cleric Stance
If you have shields...shield the tank/party BEFORE big damage goes out.
AST specific: know what your cards do, and give them to appropriate players. i.e. don't balance that NIN who is barely doing any dps when the BRD is tearing it up.
If you get hate bring the mobs to the tank
For the love of god don't use Fluid Aura on a mob that can be knocked back....But DO use fluid aura to push a ranged mob into the pack.
DPS:
Know your rotations
Don't stand in stupid
USE OFFENSIVE COOLDOWNS unless you are nearly to a boss....these speed the dungeon up, your party will thank you
use that lb. If you are a melee, this is almost always your job, but caster/ranged lb on a large pack might be a better option for speeding up the dungeon over all.
If you get hate or accidentally pull, bring the mobs to the tank
For the love of god don't use Blank on a mob that can be knocked back....But DO use Blank to push a ranged mob into the pack.
Goad: use it! Don't necessarily save it for the tank either...if your dps partner is a MCH spamming Grenado on pulls, they need it more. While on the subject of NIN, assigning your hate to the tank will also help you out.
Quelling Strike: if you have it use it! I get it, you're an awesome dps...but don't troll the tank sitting 50 ilvl under you.
Songs/Turrets: use when appropriate, don't forget they exist! Even if your dps partner is a melee, that healer that's pumping out dps would love requiem as well
FOR ALL JOBS
Be personable and helpful. At a minimum say hello at the beginning and thank the party when it's over.
