Currently there are not any new or additional information, but we should be hearing from them soon, if they still planning on moving the data centers in may. However I doubt there will be any promotions added.

No new information but it's unlikely that they'll offer transfers. They only offered transfers *from* the EU Datacentre when it moved & not *to* it for those of us in the EU playing on other NA Datacentres. EU playerbase is certainly not a major priority for them.

See also: The promotion fiasco.
Though in fairness, one could argue that back then, the transfer away from and not to the datacenter was justified because the service would worsen for NA players on EU servers through the move, whereas it would stay the same for EU players that stayed back on NA servers. But with that same argument, they'd have to offer the transfer the other way now.
We'll see. SE has become considerably more cash-grabby of late, so I personally expect them to move it to the far west coast and go:"18 bucks pls".
Actually, that could suggest that they might offer it now. Offering NA players a free transfer off of the EU worlds when they moved to the EU was to give people an option of avoiding a degradation of service. But back then there was no degradation of service for EU players on NA worlds, so that transfer off of them (to take advantage of improvement rather than avoid a degradation) was not free.
This time, EU players may indeed have a degradation of service if they're playing on NA worlds, so a free transfer to the Chaos data center would be in line with what SE offered before. (Though it may well depend on just how much of a degradation is involved.)

I don't know your reasoning behind that. It's more likely that the Montreal location was due to tax breaks &/or the already established SE presence. Many EU players don't benefit from Montreal any more than if it was placed anywhere on the East Coast of North America. Depending on the actual connections used even places like Dallas, Texas could have better connectivity (reduced latency & hops). It's not just a single Transatlantic cable anymore (thank goodness!).
With the relocation will Primal and Aether also eventually get the ability to group with each other via PF and DF?
Hope it's in NY.
I am a player from the UK so im assuming i should expect a ping of around 110-150? Before i get critism for being on NA server it is mostly due to language barriers on the EU servers.
Also based on the comment on the EU ping im guessing its moving more to the west? if not then Ping from EU should remain fine?

Maybe to NA players they are good about compensation. Never happened to EU players.

Will SE be putting anything in place to keep spoilage from happening when people can't get on to give attention to things going on over the downtime period of up to 48 hours? (I believe this probably only pertains to growing things in a garden, but there might be other stuff too.)
