Zantetsuken - A Primal trapped in Auracite?

Just bringing this up, because I haven't seen this blurb from 3.5 discussed in the context of Odin/Zantetsuken.

Spoilers: The Last Pillar to Fall

Unukalhai: "A magick was devised to contain a defeated primal's might within a stone known as 'auracite.' And the energies which bled from this imperfect vessel gradually corrupted the champions who wielded it. These heroes became slaves to an insatiable hunger for aether, eventually transforming into hideous fiends."

I believe this quote opens the possibility that Zantetsuken may be a primal trapped within auracite. The custodians of the stone may have wielded it as a weapon, and in doing so were corrupted by the energies it bled.

In the context of the FATE, it's probably assumed that there are a succession of victors who take Zantetsuken as their trophy after defeating its previous owner. They immediately become enthralled by Zantetsuken's power, and in the time it takes for the next FATE to pop, they are corrupted/transformed into a twisted likeness of Odin.

Not just a primal... Zentetsuken (Odin) is an eikon.

In the end, it still isn't clear to me, the difference between an eikon and a primal, unless there was an explanation somewhere that I missed.

It seems that primals are literally ideas that become real through fervent prayer and lots of crystals.

Eikons, on the other hand, appear to be the real deal, as in, they were once mortals who ascended to godhood through some unspecified process, one that possibly involved fervent worship as well.

They indicated that we might meet a new type of primal in SB. Considering that Sasano is a spirit that lives within some object, its possible that Primals in Othard are bound to objects as a way to give them permanence.

Zentetsuken is hinted to have originally been the weapon of an Au Ra Warrior, so it could be that its origins and nature is similar to Sasano, ie. a primal bound in an object.

Yeah pretty much. Sasano is supposed to be a powerful kami which I take to mean they summoned a primal tied to an item. I wouldn't be surprised in the least if there is some form of item in the Sasano fight we need to attack rather than just the boss himself.

In short Zentetsuken would be the kami/primal living within the Sword wielded by Odin.
