Why are summoners so neglected?

Something like that is all I really wanted for smn, now if they can expand on it a little bit more? Even better. So far it looks like it's mostly a chance to perform a double deathflare. I'm hyped.

I prefer that to egis tbh, classic single player final fantasies (pre-FFX) worked this way.

Looks like he's temporary, unless that bar counting down in the corner was something else. Still, it's nice to see Summoner's getting temporary summons. Hope for the future!

Yeah, also seems like Morn spell is more free form (I'm sure there are mechanics in it but it's not bound into killing your wyrm stance, it seems more like building it for Bahamut).

I would still like to see the base Egi visually improve, maybe through a later mechanic in a next expansion or something but I think they're still a bit eh. However, Summoner has impressive spell and summon now which is imo one of the key and always prominent features of Summoner (they've been BLM/WHM - w.e, but there has never been a question of the flash of their summon until FFXIV.. but seems like SB is working hard to fix that, and of course Ahk Morn from HW was pretty great).

So.. add some egi glamour or just a new mechanic later for basic egi to visually improve and pfft Summoner is fabulous lol, then is the key concept of summoner imo. At least to me, every FF they've always been stupid flashy lol. Summoner now can give BLM a run for their money, as they should ;3.

There was a complaint in there but overall I was left with a very nice impression of Summoner so yeh . Was not expecting to see Bahamut like that, pretty damn epic~!

I hope it goes in the right direction for others summons : they prove us they are able to do non egi form for Summons, even if it's for small period of time (yet smaller than the real ones they are pretty decent)
