The current battle system feels bland. After playing ff11 again I finally put my finger on why 14 feels so bland. Every user is to play jobs the same as anyone else playing the same job. In 11 there was diversity to an extent with how you could play your job. Black mage for instance. 11 you could cast any element to do damage making it a fun job. In 14 you are stuck with a bland cast fire on fire then blizzard and repeat. Also, whitemage has black magic. The jobs just feel bland and the developers rely on mechanics of battles more than job mechanics. The job system was in my opinion the best of any morph in 11. It\\\\\\'s just too slow paced. 14 has so much potential, but every update feels like the last update with a new paint job. I know mmorpgs are repetitive, but 14 brings a whole new meaning to repetitive. I love the concept and only wish they would do more with it.
