Priorities before Storm blood

I have been working on leveling crafters and am very close to all 50. I'm looking for opinions on if I should push for all 60 before expansion or should I get to all 50 and then push my botany and fishing?

Any tips are appreciated. Thanks!

Maybe ask yourself first : Do you wanna craft your own gear ? Do you want to earn gils ? Another reason ? Just so you know, you probably won't be able to craft much if you don't have everything at 60 (both gatherers & crafters). All recipes required materials from plenty of different in heavensward, it's likely to happen again in Stormblood.

My advice to you would be, focus on the gathering classes, but use the Ixal/Moogle beast tribes and the daily GC hand ins to build your crafting levels up.

Fishing may take a while, but botany (and mining if that's not up yet) will go up fast once you hit 50/51 and start working Collectibles. Just make sure, for miner/botany, that you have 600 GP and focus on getting the most low level collectibles (three 60k exp hand ins are better than two 66k exp hand ins).

I hate gathering! I have always hated gathering, and I still hate gathering! LOL! So much hate! XD

And yet, I need it! When you craft a lot, you just need "people" (retainers) to do work for you so you don't have to buy everything from MB or to gather all the mats yourself. My lvl 60 gathering retainers have helped me soooo much... so that I don't go broke buying things, and even have extras to sell! But in order to make them "people" do work, you need to reach lvl 60 miner/botanist/fisher yourself first. So yeah, despite all my hate for gathering, I strongly suggest you keep up with your gathering classes.

In order of what wrost to best in gil making and selling on MB
DoL
DoH (Buying mats off mb)
DoL and DoH together

I would tell you to get all DoL max out first and keep all the mats you farm to help lvl up doh.

I love DoL in facts its my main job in games yes over dow and dom too.

Thanks a lot for all your help everyone! I believe I've made my decision and once I get my last two DoH classes to 50 I'm going to work on my DoL classes. I already have MIN to 53 or so. BOT and FSH need some work lol

Having DoL leveled seriously reduces the costs of crafting, especially with leveled retainers. However, there are a couple things to keep in mind:

- Post 50, what your DoL can gather is limited to your progression through the MSQ. Many mats you will need post 50 will be locked behind zones that can only be accessed after completing certain HW quests and missions. You can still level to 60 though, but having flight unlocked will make things much easier for your gatherers.

- FSH provisions are rarely needed for crafting, but when they are, the fish required can be crazy expensive (fishers should be able to make gil too). If you don't mind the gil dump every once in a while, FSH can wait. If time is on your side though, grab those tackles and rods!

All 50s crafting means you can repair gear up to L 60, so I consider that one a must. And all 60s will let you repair L70 gear.

As for me, I'm comfortably endgame on 5/8 crafts and MIN and BOT. My alt is endgame FSH. To maximize income on FSH you need CUL desynthsis. Also FSH is not like MIN or BOT. MIN and BOT bring you gil. FSH, like virtue, is its own reward.
