Now this isn't a firefight between XI and XIV (I come from General Discussion, Id like to hope this forum is a little more civil but ya never know ._.)

Since the start of XIV I've had a bit of a gripe with the "Unique/Untradable" naming scheme. My main issue is that they both start with U and my minor issue is that they're both rather long to say/shorten to clarify which of the two you are talking about. (Exclusive was a long word too, but it could be shortened to E or Ex with no confusion because the other criteria (Rare) started with R.) Since this has to do with wording I thought this forum was where it belonged better.

With both words starting with U (U/U if it is both) it makes it harder to determine what a particular item is if it is only one. "Can I have that armor?" "It's U." See my point? He is most likely saying its Untradable, but he could be letting you know it is unique and that you can't have two (depends on the context). Rare / Ex was short and sweet and got the point across very easily. Its been said over and over again that the original launch of XIV seemed to have a very strong emphasis on being different, to the point where nearly everything had to be changed in the slightest to achieve this. In the last year we've seen many things get changed back to more familiar systems/mechanics I was just wondering if this topic is going to get any attention?

Then again, I can be nit picky at times and this could be something that only bothers me and no one else.
