Which side-story NPC would you like to see become a main character?

I really like Eschiva, from HW WHM quests; it might be because the ARR WHM quests were super dull and boring, but her badassery brought new life into WHM class quests.

Well, if Widargelt and Erik from the Monk quests DON'T end up involved in Stormblood's MSQ, the writers really dropped the ball. But after Estinien made the jump from the Dragoon line to the MSQ, I have faith they'll do the right thing.

Other NPCs I'd love to see return in any form are Foulques of the Mist (I'm not in denial, nope!), and Hamon Holyfist (He would be an amazing addition to the Hildy story. I bet he and Godbert even know each other! Maybe they competed for Julyan's affections as young men, that could be fun.).

Just about any of the crafting guildmasters would be nice, too; I was super thrilled to see Redolent Rose in the Little Ladies' Day event this year! It would be nice to be able to check in with your old teachers sometime and see what they're up to. The base class guildmasters, too, and maybe even Jandeline?

Maybe we could even take a break from Beast Tribes for a while, and instead have Guild Quests, so we could get to know our fellow Eorzeans better? The eventual team-up quest featuring Godbert would be priceless, I'm sure.

I'm going go with Final Fantasy VI story writing logic, because it's a good example of good SE storytelling. 1. Does this characters backgrounds stay relevant to the plot? 2. Would extending this characters story benefit the story? 3. How would the other characters grow from this, and what would this character contribute to? 4. What changes would this character amount to the story, if at all?

Given the focus on Doma, I think it would make more sense if the ninja job quest characters, whether it be Oboro and Tsubame, Akagi and Yuki, or all four, were "promoted." Widargelt should be present for the Ala Mhigo portion as well and we all live in some nihilistic post-sense world if he doesn't.
