Which side-story NPC would you like to see become a main character?

So, when Heavensward came out Estinien was given the status of main character from side-story NPC. Granted if you didnt do the Dragoon questline you wouldn't be aware, but still it happened. I'm curious who you would like to see rise up to the ranks of Estinien. My personal vote is for Alka Zolka. I would like to see him related to Papalymo in some way. Papalymo is a scholar, and Alka is the quest giver for the SCH quest line in ARR, amd and important NPC in the HW one. The are both smart plainsfolk Lalafells and based on their ages Alka could be his son, maybe.

But yeah who would you like to see moved the the main story?

FYI: these are characters that have no major significance in the main story, ie no impact on your character. So while characters like Y'mhitra, Raya-O, or A-Ruhn may appear in the MSQ every so often, they are still side-story characters.

[EDIT] Okay it's hard to judge the criteria of a main character, but what I am basing it on is "Someone who is in the MSQ who as both a significance to the story/plot and impacts your character". Admittedly, based on this criteria some characters might appear to fit this, but are really only cogs for the other Main Characters. So the main Scions (Louisoix, Minfillia, Krile, Yda, Papalymo, Thancred, Y'shtola, Urianger, Moenbryda(sniff) Alphinaud, Alisaie(who is an odd case herself) , GC/City leaders (Merlwyb, Raubahn, Kan-E, Nanamo, Aymeric), Yugiri, Lucia, Hauchefant and his family, Ysayle, Hilda, Cid, Biggs, & Wedge, they would be considered main characters. They are not an ensemble cast, but they have greater significance than all others. F'lhaminn Qesh is hard for me to place since I never played 1.0. If I was to base it solely on 2.0 until right now, I'd say she isn't one, but if any 1.0 players indicate she had a "big" presence in 1.0 I'd call her a main. Pipin is the only one I sorta have a hard time placing, because how we meet him is so rushed. As of right now I'd place him in the category of elevated cog along with Eynzahr Slafyrsyn. And I only mean the heroes, since based on the way the game runs, it follows the whole villain of the day/patch/story formula.

Also in regards to ole Mistbeard when will he and Merlwyb tie the not already, XD

I'm pretty sure Papalymo is a thaumaturg, not a scholar... while I like Alka Zolka, I'm really, really not fond of stories like "Oh you're the son I lost 20 years ago!"
(besides, according to the lore book Alka Zolka was "born to parents employed by the Mealvaan's Gate")

To answer your question though and not only destroy the idea that all lalafell could be related: Non that would make much sense. I'd like to learn more about the Arcanist guild"leader" (aka the friendly Roe whos doing the job atm) and judging from the artworks so far theres a good chance we get to see Raubahn again, which makes me happy (wouldnt mind traveling with him, even though thats highly unlikely...)

All in all: it made a lot of sense that Estinien played a major role in HW and if they pick a character we already know to do that again, I'd prefer it to make sense in the story - so the most likely candiate are ofc Yda and Yugiri. During FanFest they also said that we would meet a samurai(?) character in the last part of the 3.X story thats going to play a major role in SB - that might be our next "Estinien" there.

A) she rocks.
B) she is gorgeous
C) Miqo'te - enough said really

I would really enjoy it if she became more of a main story character. I know she's had some involvement, but it's not enough as far as I am concerned. F'lhaminn clearly has a lot of back story, and I feel like there is a lot there to explore with her.

I mean, can anyone really deny her?

I'd be happy to have Hamon Holyfist help Hildibrand on adventures, or atleast return to the Monk questline in Stormblood since it seems that Widargelt is gonna have an important role in Ala Mhigo's main story.

Hilda appears in the MSQ but isn't exactly a main character, so I'd like to see her get more screentime since she's always really damn fun and has chemistry with Thancred. And now that you mention it, I like Raya-O-Senna a lot and would like to see her do more as well. Jacke and his band from the Rogue quests too.

Expect F'lhaminn to have more of a presence in Stormblood, as Niellefresne's story is going to be added onto and she was his girlfriend.

The whole of Jacke's mob would definitely get my vote, and it's credible since they have ties to a few of the Domans now.

If they don't explain the whole backstory between F'lhaminn and her former lover for the sake of confused ARR players I will be sad.

As far as main character...I kinda want to see a Garlean character. Or maybe Laurentius. Yuyuhase is easy to figure out, but what goes through the mind of such a broken man, what keeps him going?

I loved her in the Ul'dah MSQ in 1.0 and would like to see her have more of a role now.

Even after a few years of 2.0-3.0, F'lhaminn is still my absolute favorite character.
