There a few questions that haven't been asked, answered, or fully commented on.
Here are the questions I hope a representative, or developer can answer for me. Not in a specific order:
Will Job-specific gears be meldable?
If it's U/U, which it probably will be, then most likely not.
Will the ability that allows MP/HP have the same timer as Siphon MP? Since the list doesn't mention Siphon MP-like spells I am guessing we are losing that and exaltation. Will they Return?
The table they've shown us is the complete set of abilities. There will no longer be a Siphon MP spell. It might return post level 50, no way of knowing for sure.
Does the element table that we can points into actually effect damage output on spells, or is it strictly under Intelligence and magic attack potency?
If its the same as it was before they took it out, then yes. But we don't know for sure.
Will cross-class abilities be less punished?
No, cross class abilities are punished for a reason, to create more defined roles for the player.
Is patch 1.20 going to give us, black-mage-in-training, thaumaturges the "oomph" we desire in our spells against bosses like Ifrit?
I would assume yes. If THM's role is being delegated to merely nuking, he would have to be rather good at for balancing reasons.
If not 1.20, will it be 1.21 when Black-Mage is available?
Black Mage will be coming in 1.21 with all the other jobs.
Is there a way to get a demonstration of two group fighting Ifrit, or maybe even the moogles? One being a group of classes, the other a group of Jobs to show us the difference in a solo-oriented classes vs the party-oriented jobs.
Just wait until 1.21 and try it yourself.
