Are the Anala and the Ananta related?

More specifically, is this a possible example of sexual dimorphism? Ala Mhigo and Sohm Al aren't exactly neighbors, but they're still not so far apart as to make it impossible.

Has anyone encountered any in-game text that might suggest one way or another?

I think we have to chalk this one up to simple model reuse, like how the rock beasts use the same model (and some of the same moves) as Behemoths. Anala just reuse the Lamia skeleton.

I mean, sexual dimorphism is one thing, but the Anala are ON FIRE. D:

Pretty sure there's no in-game text whatsoever, and there's probably not an entry on the Anala or the Ananta in the Lore book, since it was released before either made an appearance. (Maybe there is; can't verify because, sadly, I don't have one. ;_; )

I'm willing to call it pure reaching on my part, but I was secretly hoping someone else would have come up with the same inference, as the release timing was at least interesting enough for this to be a thing. A mountain-dwelling all-female snakelady race with a Sanskrit-sourced name was announced in an expansion keynote, and then in the next patch with the final pre-expansion dungeons there are mountainish-dwelling so-far-just-maleish-unless-I-missed-some-obvious-anatomy snakemen with a similar sounding Sanskrit-sourced name trying to slice my party in half.

The ON FIRE part aside, it would have been a great AHA! if it were a thing.

I'm actually wondering what was up with the creatures in the volcano. Vidofnir implied the Dravanian Horde was keeping them in check, as though they were something more primordial like the elementals.
