Sakura goldenweave here ! Hosting a Great fun little event for our server.

The big fish Tournament lasting a full twelve hours
Rule setting as is so far for this part of the event

Largest fish Caught + rarity of catch = max points for win
One screen shot with time stamps enabled only Allowed And must be Submitted , Via the forums as proof Before the twelve hours is up ! More than one Screen shot submission Will AUTOMATICALLY be Disqualified...

Also If possible when the event starts if you can place the window/weather for fish if your going for the win along side your Screen shot with Time stamps enabled <very important.

Second part of the event for new comers to FFXIV

Levels 1 - 20 Large catch of three
Three screen shots will be needed for this with time Stamps enabled .. You will need to Add the total of your three catches Along side your Screen shots
Two forums will be opened on the date

you said you would like screen shots with timestamps on them, is there a way to get dates added to your timestamps? or could you give an example of a good screenshot.

Is there a guideline/chart to judge rarity of catches? (I know- noob question )

pretty sure there's no exact algorithm to use here, too many variables depending on the fish. Theres a few ways to judge how hard a fish is to catch, how narrow the window is to catch it, if its a 3 or 4 mooch chain (looking at you frilled shark) weather restraints, the size in ilms that the fish is, the patch it is from, since the recquired amount of gathering increases with patch's, ex. 3.5 fish recquire at LEAST 775 gathering to land (or more, i'd have to check, i know its at least 775) intuition catche's etc. I'm sure it's up to the judges though. So just think of the hardest fish you ever found and try to catch it again
