    Trial Time?

I thought the trial time was 14 days, but after installing the game on the 12th I am going to run out of time tomorrow. I've also been stuck in the game because not enough people are apparently queuing for the first main trial instance and there is no way for me to skip past it.

Is the trial length only 7 days or something? Is there a way for me to skip past this mission? Because as it stands, I'm currently not considering buying the game since it seems that the queue times will only get longer and longer as I get further into the game before reaching the end game and I have no proof against that statement.

The trial time starts from the moment you set up the account, not when you download the game, so if you set it up earlier and then downloaded the game a week later, that is why.

Also if you cannot find help via df, try using pf. There is usually someone who will help, although I think trial accounts are locked out of that feature, but if not try that.

Trial accounts put you at a disadvantage, they had to cut a lot of things out due to rmt exploiting them to advertise and launder gil and items. Once you open the full game, things are a lot better as so much opens up. If you are enjoying yourself so far I say get ARR, its cheap and you can check out the full version of the game, then if you like it get HW since you cannot access HW content until after you finish ARR anyway.

Well trial accounts are exactly that a trial they just there to see if you interested in the game not meant for progressing. Also if you playing a dps class no matter what content you play you will always have long queue times.

DPS queue times often hit 30+ mins these days at all levels in my experience leveling 5 characters over the last 6 months.

SE's silly decision to make parties of only 4 people (or double parties in 8-man content) means that long DPS times are part of the core game design, 50% of a party are DPS whereas in MMOs (of which XIV is just another example) DPS characters usually make up 75% or so of players in game at any point in time, thus a disproportionately long queue for DPS.
