Here's my 2 cents on this subject,

First off, I do agreed that having separated bait inventory would be nice, and that Yoshi's excuses doesn't really make sense. Other classes don't have equivalence? Well, Fisher don't have any use for GP until level 51 either, but I don't see him mentioning that. I am inclined to believe that's it's more of a technical limitation in this case.

Second, I see bait as Fisher's off hand equivalence. As we all know Fisher doesn't have any off-hand, and that the higher level baits are used to catch higher level fishes.

Third, most of the bait can be bought of the NPC. Junkmonger in residential area has most of the pre-level 51 baits, so you can basically toss those out until you actually need them. The rest can be bought from NPC near the area you're going to fish.

To sum it up, would it be nice if tackle box is a thing? Yes. Does it really kill not having one? Well, not really in my opinion.

Besides which, there's at least 52 types of fishing tackle, and while you might usually only have a few key items, it's not too unusual to get quite a few more. (I know I've had up to 27 at once when I was doing Ixal quests. The max is probably a lot higher than that.) While there's some room there, I doubt it's enough for bait.
Yes, thank you Captain Obvious. Apparently I'm completely ignorant of how the Key Items page functions, as well as the classification of Bait.

Dude, I'm just suggesting how they could change that so you can use a drag-and-drop feature lol, obviously that's not how it works now. XD Even if it's only a few extra spaces, that's more than we had before.

Ok ty, I've never bothered to count. <3 I dunno about anyone else, but even with 20+ things in your key items inventory, I think that leaves a lot of potential room for bait. :O

Edit: btw, sorry if that first bit sounds mean. I try to be funny sometimes, but then I reread it and it sounds kinda jerkish. XD I mean it in the most lighthearted way possible. <3

So, in other words, you want to remove the whole concept of there being actual key items in order to turn the Key Items UI into additional regular inventory space instead. That's a far bigger change than adding a tackle box, and it's one that removes an important feature.

As for just adding additional regular inventory space, lets see what 4.0 brings in that regard. I've heard everything from a massive inventory increase, to no regular inventory but just armoury space, to nothing in 4.0 but maybe something down the road in a later patch if they ever get to it (just like the inventory improvements for 3.0 that never materialized). But really the fact is that the only reason we need or want more regular inventory is failure of anything else. If we'd get bait moved to a tackle box, glamour gear moved to a glamour log, and currencies moved to the currency window, our existing inventory space would be plenty.
