From the design requirements. The winning entry will very most likely be made available for both genders and all races as per the point below that.

Why pick them for those then? That's supposed to be the potential winners, so why include some that don't go by the rules? It's not just female only, some designs don't incluse all armor parts and some aare front view only. That's what frustrates me about the selection. I'd rather see more designs that can actually be implemented than pretty honorary mentions that can't even be bothered to fulfill the requrements.

serilda i totally understand your point, mostly about the halfnude outfits, but the same goes to sets being created for male chars only. regarding mine i thought about m+f auras and how it would look colored in metal grey/black. the last 2 days i was a crying mess, i had to finish the whole back in one day to get it done in time. i'm sure other contestants would have added both gender versions with changes and dif colors. everyone wanted more metal and less ball dresses, no white but lots of feathers. you're trying to think of polygons and hair/sitting glitches and make it in the right proportions of a real game char so it would still look good ingame. its obvious that some outfits on a lala would look ridiculous on a male roga to a female aura. while some are more specific towards a race/gender, you cant make it perfect for everyone, except you create details for 10 sets in one month and im sorry that i couldnt do that in such a time =/

I mean you don't have to show both genders in your design. They state in the rules that if you don't show both genders, changes may be made to your design to fit the other gender.

I was shaking with happiness when one of my friends messaged me during work to tell me that one of my designs made it to the top 52 casters!

I was extremely moved by FFVI when I first played it, so I thought about Yoshitaka Amano's beautiful artwork when I came up with this design.

I submitted two others that did not make it:



Debonair Set of Casting. This one was my personal favorite! I was convinced that this was my strongest entry, haha.




Celestial Set of Healing. I feel like I ran out of time for this one, so I'm not completely satisfied with it. I'm very happy to see so many fantastic healer designs in the finalists instead.

Out of the designs we did get as the finalists I think I have my heart set on these 4 for the caster sets:

I'm surprised only you have shown this one from the looks of things, and I really dig it. I feel like we're lacking Arabian themed gear so for me this one is probably my personal favourite.

I mean you don't have to show both genders in your design. They state in the rules that if you don't show both genders, changes may be made to your design to fit the other gender.

I wish is was in the rules that you had to design both M/F sets. Some of these designs are sexy on girls but SE's trackrecord with sexy on guys is pretty disappointing.



I don't trust them with trying to make this for guys since their go to fix is "fill in cutouts and slap on bicycle shorts".

Just to talk some more about the designs, I LOVE the theme of this one.



The Fire/Ice duality would go great with BLM. Not so much with SMN and RDM sadly.
