New Japan 7-11 promotion

So it's happening again.... SE is releasing a promotion in conjunction with 7-11, this time with "Eastern Attire" and a mount "Sumitomo Cloud" (as advertised on the JP lodestone)

As someone with an EU account (from Australia) LIVING in Japan, I am really hoping they don't region lock this promotion like the hot mess it was last time, where I had to order from some random site (Hanabee), buying an item I had 0 interest in (and wasn't even FF or game related - ps I have 0 interest in anime).

Please don't region lock this event like last time, forcing me to have to wait 6+ months longer only to have to buy an item and send it to my sister (Hanabee doesn't ship to Japan).

Let me participate in Japan, where I now live permanently. Please, please don't penalise me for having an EU-region-locked account created about 10 years ago when I played FFXI years ago in Australia. It's bad enough I have to continue to pay for this game in Euros when my job pays me in Yen....

I am majorly disappointed that they started this whole JP regional exclusive thing over again with even less communication to the rest of the world than last year and with the fact there were a lot of players who missed out last time due to it never being available or within reach in their region. I tend to not believe anything like this until I see an official announcement, and the lack of official announcement to the non-JP community is disheartening. At this point, I don't just want to know when we're getting this highly sought-after thing, but if we're even getting it at all.

At least USA got to buy another game (something useful) through a well known provider (amazon). Australia and New Zealand got shafted being sent to some really small scale anime retailer, whose stock is quite dated and most of the 'cooler' items seem to have been out of stock for quite some time...

I know many places in Europe also got the short end of the stick trying to deal with their version (Gamestop I believe it was?)

Why cant they just make it a purchase on their own SE store, or better still, stop with the region locking.. It's 2017, not 1995. We live in a global online society now, connected at the touch of a button
