So we've seen the class/job abilities list... and they reference effects from traits.
But do we actually get to see the trait list anytime soon?

The trait list i think that the one you unlock from the guild can only be used by that class now and you unlock them when you reach the level for it. Now for the jobs traits we don't know much about it and i think they release that when they release jobs.

I thought they were reworking traits to fit with the class ability reforms. I thought we should be expecting a reformed trait list too. But it's been really quiet.
There will most likely be a reworked list, as there will be 11 traits. There are 10 Guild Mark abilities/traits for Lancer at the moment, 2 of them are abilities, 1 is useless for Lancer, as it helps other classes use Lancer abilities. That leaves 7, so LNC should be getting atleast 4 new traits. I would be a bit disappointed if they keep the stat swap traits, unless if they switch DoW and DoM versions.
I recall an interview with Yoshida where he mentioned that traits would all be class specific now. Meaning all the stat swap traits and mastery traits are going by the wayside. It's possible that each class will keep the trait they purchase from the guild but it will now be specific to them.
And as I said you can kind of glean some of the information about a few traits for some classes based on the ability list... I just think it would be nice to see all 11 traits laid out.
The current selection of guildmarks/traits are mostly abilities. If we have 11 traits to choose from i think that might add more depth than just handing out abilities every other level.
It would be great if we couldnt choose all the traits to use but need to select a few; add diversity/customisation for each class.
The current state of the classes it would seem that only ONE trait is relatively useful per class. IE: fleet of foot from lancer or out of sight from archer.
We'll get a trait list closer to the release of the patch. I'd be surprised if it wasn't in the pre-patch notes.
I'm pretty sure our current list of traits will be changed come 1.20. Those stat changing traits are really relics of an old system, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw them removed. Some of the abilities and weaponskills hint at traits being different than they are now and working with the class and its skills.
get the patch in roughly a week so we will see them one way or another soon enough
What I have shown you is reality. What you remember, that is the illusion.
I'm expecting them to be quiet about the actual traits until the patch notes to be honest.
Though i am a bit confused as to where some of you are getting 11 traits from, Its going to be 10 the exact number of trait slots we currently have.Herp de derp, me are good at braining.
I will go as far as to speculate that the current class traits Intimidation, fast cast, ect will probably still be in there some where. The affinity traits are probably going out the air lock though and there is a good chance that the stat swaps are going with them. Assuming (yes i know what happens when you assume) that the current actual traits are staying for each we know 1/11th of the list.
Or the info could probably come out on Monday.
