The middle seems to be the goto, it is what is in the videos and the logic is you can escape the oncoming aoe.
But lately I have been doing edge swords and it works ok when people know to face back to the edge for the boot.
Thoughts?

It doesn't really matter as long as you mark it and the party knows you're focusing that one.
Most parties I've been with do the middle one as it's the easiest to pick in a PUG.

The one under me.

Faster to just do the one closest to where the boss is at the time (typically wherever he jumped to last for the large AoE) so you don't need to drag him around and can utilize AoE on him and the sword where applicable, but the general consensus for pugs is just do the middle.
