About the New Art Book!

So my copy of the art book just arrived in the mail \o/

And it is glorious -- but I think the BEST part is at the end, where they have the dev team comment on their favorite parts and what they enjoyed the most.

By far the BEST section was also the shortest -- getting insights on how backgrounds and controls are designed. I loved seeing how the new Omega room came to life from just a sketch.

Can you put more of these things in future books? Behind-the-scenes stuff is always fascinating.

Dev notes were all over the first two artbooks. I was pretty disappointed at them at the lack of specific comments in Scars, though the dev process article was nice.

I have all of the artbooks released so far and the main text is always in English as far as I can remember. What isn't translated is the odd little notes or scribbles you might see on the concept art, but that's to be expected really.

Not quite. If you purchased Scars from a Japanese source (say, AmazonJP), the text is all in Japanese. Publishing source matters for this book unfortunately (like the lore book).

I purchased mine from the SE store and it is in Japanese and English.

I bought from Amazon JP and it has English & Japanese, however the last several pages are all in Japanese. Regardless, the minion code worked and it's still $15 cheaper AFTER shipping to order from Amazon JP than it is from SE's own store so....

I was informed by Bayohne that the pages in the back of Scars with the Japanese dev comments would be in English in the NA store (and possibly EU) store release.

Previous two artbooks had comments scattered throughout the pages untranslated. This one has them all in the back. Based on my exchange with Bayohne, I assume it was consolidated so we could finally read the comments.

Awesome thanks! I ordered mine on the 9th when I had the exchange but it hasn't arrived yet so... couldn't say any real confirmation.
