Houses are lost sooner

Housing gets lost after 45 days. But I notice people take advantage. Some ppl that have an FC just log in to not lose it and go inactive again, cuss they don't feel in the mood yet to play (they wait for the next expansion). I even know someone who was made temp leader of an FC so he wouldn't lose the house. so she can give it back to him after a while. So basicly they have an FC house but barely play at all.

I suggest changing the Rules.
House owners will have only 2 options to keep their houses.
1° Log in after a total of 35 days with only 1 warning at 30 days of inactivity.
2° Pay 8.99$ through the mog station to extend possession of housing for 30 days.
3° When made leader of a company that you didn't found, the login to not lose the house should only apply for the original owner in the first 35 days (so it won't count) unless the old owner is able to login during the 5 days after being given a warning. Or rebuy the house at server pricing as new leader. The house will be lost.

A less forgiving system isn't likely to change anything. SE seriously needs to make private instanced housing for each character a thing and relegate all existing Wards to FC housing only. That would significantly (but not completely) resolve the housing crisis.

You probably not going to get a favorable response from most people as lot already think that the 45 days is too short (or that there should even be a timer) and most likely even less a a favorable response for the cash shop ideal.

I don't care for favorable responses as its injustice to claim a house when you don't realy make use of in the first place.
If you don't have money to be online every month then there's realy no use owning a house.
Am I the only one that thinks this comment makes sense?
Besides, im not suggesting to take their houses from everyone that owns one. I'm just suggesting to allow ACTIVE players to get a hold of housing.
Greedy ppl (who apperantly hate to come online once in a while) can always extend their housing ownership through the mog station, this way Square enix earns more from it aswell.
People that do not have money to pay 8.99 or 12.99 a month should be getting a job instead of a fictional house and make priorities of their responsibilities first!

Please, leave housing alone, whatever a Free Company Master does is of no interest for anyone except for himself/herself, they bought their property with hard earned gil, just like I did with mine and I'm surely not to be told what to do with it, Square Enix made their rules already, now don't try to scam people just because they don't want to play!...

Considering Yoshi promised that housing would NOT be linked to subscription status or maintenance fees. the existence of the current reclaim system is a total break of that promise. No way it should be made worse.

If anything the reclaim system needs to be scrapped entirely or extended to at least 180 days.

Especially when Yoshi also says it's OK for players to take breaks when content gets stale. (Not if they want to keep there house it isn't)

Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.

If it was a personal fc, he didn't need to hand leader over at all because anyone in the fc entering the house resets the timer. As for your points:

1. Not likely to change anything. People will still take a month off or in the case of an fc just have someone else enter the house to reset the timer.
2. What's the point? People will either log in to reset the timer or just pay cash, that doesn't solve the problem at all.
3. As explained previously everyone in the fc resets that timer, not just the leader. This would make issues for large free companies that are using the system as intended and you'd be throwing the baby out with the bath water.

These suggestions would only make housing worse than it is already. Put yourself in a homeowner's shoes. Would YOU be okay with any of that? I don't think so.

They need to focus on creating instanced housing and doing away with this absurd reclamation process.

If owners are logging in every 45 days to keep their houses (ie: paying their subscriptions), SE doesn't care.

Continuing to rally for punishments, inconveniences and general annoyance for those who already own houses for the crime of...owning a house is unfair, creates divides and doesn't help the current situation.

Instead, rally for more wards; Rally for more instanced housing; Hell, even rally for new housing locales on top of Shirogane. The "I hate anyone who owns a house cos 1 or 2 of them are douchebags" argument is getting old.
