My FC leader *cough* wouldn't leave me alone until I posted something, so... I'm just here so I don't get fined..

To start, the way I came across Salts. I was in another RP FC that did mostly RP and not much else. So I joined a party to learn/clear Sophia EX. It was an FC party, with me being the only outsider. I popped into their discord, and though we didn't beat Sophia until a few days later, I liked them so much I left my old FC for Salts.

So far, it's been horrible, and honestly, I don't know why I'm still here. Everyone's so nosy. They all get to know you and slowly, over time, they've learned about me as a person, my sense of humor and quirks, and there's this sickening sense of community that persists even outside of the game. We chit chat about our lives and everyone's an adult. If I wanted friends, I wouldn't be playing an MMO all the time. This FC is just as bad as having an actual life and going outside, minus the sunshine and having to wear pants.

Once upon a time I lived in quaint Exodus along with my friend;
Our social inclinations within that land always seeking to set the new trend.
But we did not have to aether-travel far to realize that another home awaited us,
As we stood around in an empty Ul'dah for that next Balmung server-transfer bus.

Why were we to take more competition rather than less?
When all that led us on this path was an FC's official website and a guess?
Upon arrival we were promptly invited into a community I would observe.
To ascertain how their utility to us gamers we could best preserve.

In adjusting we would soon come to know the folly that left us blind,
For our greatest distraction to being connected was our thoughts of the grind.
Only by following the whims of people coming together for events did we understand,
That to be able to play the true game as a collective of friends is something quite grand.

Our community here at S:R has grown faster than we anticipated! With the onset of so many new things coming to the game, I think it's time we get to know each other better, foster and feed our comradery, and break those protect *stoneskin barriers we keep around our hearts!

This is a prelude to many more things - including an IRL meet up (whaaat? who does that?? Fan Fest be damned )

Today is a great day to join The Salts of Rhotano! Tomorrow we open registration for our MSQ Companion Campaign!
