Wow! I'm glad your first console (and this game) was such a successful purchase. I think I was like that with FFXI; if you'd told me I'd still be playing it a decade later and have gone through more than one replacement PS2 along the way, it would have sounded weird at the time I originally bought it. Yet here we are, and now I'm completely hooked on its successor.

Thank you, To be honest I wouldn't have minded to play the 1.0 version of the game (well probably not enjoy the graphical problems and issues they were having at the time), but I would've enjoyed the Main story, where we first met Papalymo and Yda, how Minfilia founded the Scions, meeting Louisoix, the battle against Nael van Darnus (heard its quite an epic fight), and the fall of Dalamund and the heart breaking end of 1.0.

One of my current wish right now is a remake of the 1.0 story, dun know maybe using Alexander's time traveling abilities to open a rift back in time, and go through some of the old main story line.

The best way I could describe it was that it was a game without a game. It looked great and was fun for a bit, but then things started to taper off. It felt there was no goal, nothing to strive for. Beautiful world though, I wish they'd update the graphics and bring us back, with some optimization of course.
