Current system: I glamour gear A onto gear B, gear A will be binded to me so I can't sell it on MB, I can still desync/hand in/vendor gear A. After I desync/hand in/vendor gear A, I can't glamour it again.
My version: I add gear A to glamour log, gear A will be binded to me so I can't sell it on MB, I can still desync/hand in/vendor gear A. After I desync/hand in/vendor gear A, I can glamour it again... because that's the whole point of a glamour log?
I explain why it's a bad idea for the item to be destroyed when added to log. I also mentioned that letting players to desync/hand in the items barely make any difference. Think about it honestly, because:
A) We can already glamour then desync/hand in the gear now, so the proposed system I suggested just changed it to adding to the log first, no additional work (besides the log itself) is required.
B) Practically speaking, if you got the gear for glamour, what's the point of getting it again when you already add it to the log? If you got the gear for desync/hand in, you will still be getting it again anyway regardless if we have the glamour log or not.
C) HW is already raining us with seals and gils. This one time surged in seals/vendor gils when you first add the item to the glamour log won't lead to Ragnarok seriously...
D) If the developer team have to account for every new item added (and one time loop through for existing item) so upgradeable gear (relic/tome gear) have to be filter as a non-destroyedable item upon adding onto the log, that's additional workload as compared to what I suggested no matter how you slice it. If every item is destroyed upon adding it to the glamour log, please refer to above for why it's a bad reason.
And lastly... I'm not sure if I missed reading something or what, but I'm pretty sure that's an overstatement. Most people just agree on wanting a glamour log, barely anyone voiced about agreeing/disagreeing on the destruction of item upon adding to glamour log besides ShinMetsu, Zojha, Dusty and the both of us at time of writing.
