You misunderstand. I was outlining the situation "right now" without a glamour log, because you used that situation to claim that the double purpose argument is a weak argument. Yes, you can currently glamour an item, then turn it in for seals, but you have to re-obtain the item if you want to glamour it again after turning it in. With the glamour log, you would not have to re-obtain it. Thus, you could safely turn the item in. Hence, the double purpose argument remains, even if the significance can be argued. That's what I said.

The rest is simply a proposal how to deal with that argument in an efficient way. It solves the issue with destroying "relevant" items for the sake of glamour while eliminating the double purpose with a simple switch of two binary digits.
