This argument is weak because currently we can already glamour using the item then hand it in for seals. There's no good reason to take the additional step to make the player's life difficult.

Except you can't then glamour it again, indefinitely, when you upgrade your main gear. That's a pretty big difference, actually. You're choosing to trade that convenience in for seals and more inventory space at the moment, whereas the glamour log would give you the best of both worlds. Having the best of both worlds is great, but I can see why the developers might abandon the whole idea prematurely if we don't accept that freedom from inventory limitations might come with a few restrictions of its own to keep people running content.

Nothing is stopping you continuing to do what you do at the moment with the addition of the proposed functionality. Those who value the inventory space more than a handful of seals will simply make a different choice.
