I really want this. But I'm also concerned that if they implement one, they do it well. As discussed in an earlier thread on the subject:
There's two basic methods of handling a glamour log. Either (like Rift) it records everything you get, or (like WildStar or LOTRO) you select certain pieces and save their appearances. The former pattern leads to a lengthy list of items that needs some ability to filter it to more easily find the items you're looking for. The later pattern leads to running out of room if you want to store lots of items.
I've never played WildStar, but at least in LOTRO, the Wardrobe limits were tight enough that people would run out of room there, so start swapping items in and out. The result was that we'd keep the original inventory items in addition to their wardrobe appearances, so that we could replace the wardrobe appearances if we ever swapped them out for something else, then later wanted them back again. The point of the Wardrobe was supposedly to save inventory space by not needing to keep the items themselves, but we —or at least a lot of us— ended up keeping them anyway because of the size limitations. So while it did manage to provide some convenience, it didn't do much for its primary purpose of inventory reduction.
So I'd prefer Rift's pattern.
Yes x1000, make it happen already!
I want this but I feel like SE just wants to make more money off of us. So retainers and whatnot are probably all we're going to see
I support this idea.
Always wanted it.
And judging by the responses, there's very little opposition to it.
i mean it would save us space in bags if we could just call up a log of what we want to glamour over a certain item possible retainer space as well i'am a glamourmonger myself but i'd rather them deal with important issues first like denying males bunny suit or whatever stupid nonsense they are asking for that is gender locked like improving msq stuff, raids, trials, duties... worry about small things later
This isn't a small thing to a lot of us.i mean it would save us space in bags if we could just call up a log of what we want to glamour over a certain item possible retainer space as well i'am a glamourmonger myself but i'd rather them deal with important issues first like denying males bunny suit or whatever stupid nonsense they are asking for that is gender locked like improving msq stuff, raids, trials, duties... worry about small things later
Support!
//Draw The Balance
that would be great ^_^.

I think they should do it like GW2 where you can choose to add it to the log and then it becomes permanently bound to you, or you put it on and it does. there are things that are destroyed upon use that are glamour in GW2 but they are only glamour, no stats on them at all. they are usually included with sets that actually have stats on them. There is literally no bloody reason for the gear to be destroyed when you add it to the glamour log. Just bind the gear to the character (like how's it's done when you glamour a piece of new gear) and call it a day. Hell, ideally you shouldn't even need to do it manually. The system should auto add it into the log the moment you pick up a piece of gear with a new model.
Seriously people, stop making things more complicated than required... This shit (destruction of gear when adding to glamour log) always trigger me so hard when I see one...
the idea that you should need to destroy it is silly, it would remove some gear that is perfectly decent from being used again
your oppinion on this is noted, many(probably most) disagree with you
I think you are vastly outnumbered by those of us who do not think this is a small thing, in the end it is the devlopers who have to decide how big this would be. personally I see it as an oppertunity for 2 things. getting people to re-run older content and getting more subs due to this being an attractive featurei mean it would save us space in bags if we could just call up a log of what we want to glamour over a certain item possible retainer space as well i'am a glamourmonger myself but i'd rather them deal with important issues first like denying males bunny suit or whatever stupid nonsense they are asking for that is gender locked like improving msq stuff, raids, trials, duties... worry about small things later

Although its been a while, I don't ever remember being able to choose, it just automatically added any and all bound or BTA gear you picked up/won to the glamour page, and any BOE items unlocked upon equipping?
There's some really strange ideas in this thread, and quite obviously from people that have not tried other games that have this feature. The glamour book is just that, a book with the name and picture of the item, you don't get to retrieve that item, you just select an item that you want the look of an presto, done. There doesn't need to be any complex and contrived rules other than the item needs to be bound to be added to the book/list.
