Yes. That is exactly what I am suggesting. When someone is plain out of space they get rid of stuff. They regret it later and buy it back up again.
Of course just how much our inventory is going to improve in 4.0 really changes how that will work out.

I doubt that would make much of a dent in sales. Speaking of sales though, the one downside with something like this is you would have to apply fresh dye to each glamour set. Though I suppose that means rare dye sellers and the cash shop would get a sales boost.
Well you can look at this in another way too.I barely buy much glamour anymore since I dont have much inventory space left to store them. If I could store all in a glamour log I might just buy every existing sets over the time just because I can have them and dont need important space for them. Also lots of older glamour is often really cheap, since SE loves to put glamour in a lot of new content, thus some are barely worth anything anymore.
Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.

I want such log must be implemented as soon as possible but I doubt it will be in near future.
They just need to add right-click option on item 'Add to glam. log" -> warning message "After adding item on glam. log it will be destroyed" -> Yes / No. Also warning message if item already in log.
And add to the right side of glam window (where "Appearance") switch between log / inventory and search bar.
Don't think it hard to do. But of course they have "more important tasks to do".
Also I want option to dye gear from dungeons. And different models for caster-healers sets, for mong-rogue sets, because many sets are the same but with different colours.
I am paying for 2 additional retainers, but I need them for crafting mats. One retainer is for glam and one is for general items (materias, alex loot, fate loots, quest loot and etc).
Sorry for my Engrish.
implementing this should have taken priority over expanded inventory imo. All my space is take up by glamour items.

That's why they are taking their time.
Buy more retainers and please look foward to the glamour log... in the distant future.

Glamour log is an excellent opportunity to catalog my items as well - would love to see, can function as an item log (well at least things that can be worn).
I understand if they can't but it would be nice if they could organize it by content and add filters/search features. Like "oh I don't have the hat from this dungeon, I want to finish the set!". Has a wearable obtained/not loot table basically is what I'm saying - so I can see what is available, try it on, and go get it if I want. If they want to keep the item a secret until you've seen it before they can do that, just so its a ??? until you've seen it drop or another person wear/use it. Of course filters like "can be worn by current class" / "chest", etc.
Anyway. Even in a simple form it would still be helpful, but something slightly more meaty would be great.

You can add my support to this. Though it isn't even needed to know that the community would throw a 7-day party if it was introduced that this was an incoming feature.
