Tanks are going to stay VIT based. Can you imagine if Samurai, Dragoon, Monk, Warrior, Paladin & Dark Knight all fought over strength based accessories? No thanks, those days are over and for good reason.

				You misread. I'm saying to make them VIT based.
Right now they're VIT and STR based. Half and half. (Actually 45% compared to other roles). With my suggestion, tanks become fully VIT-based, use fending accessories, and stop melding STR to them. It would balance things out in content like diadem where tanks are at a disadvantage to other roles, unless they were to change diadem accessories to include 15 strength...which would be nice, but making them VIT-based would be much smoother design.

				I don't understand. Since some patches ago vitality=strength for the exact reason that we won't have to use slaying accessories. Melding str is for the only reason that it is better than melding det/crit/sks. For any content other than diadem i think this is ok for us.
Since you focus mostly in diadem armor, keep in mind that new diadem offers i280 weapons as well and despite the random secondaries, the weapon dmg increase and vit/str are still preferable than relic/alex savage. I would happily trade this for not being able to meld at all.
Note: I've never done diadem...

[QUOTE=TallonOverworld;4073998]I don't understand. Since some patches ago vitality=strength/QUOTE]
VIT = 0.45 AP
STR = 0.45 AP
-----------------
Total: 0.90 AP for 1 vit + 1 str
Consider also that Tank AP doesn't scale like it used to because STR and VIT are not equal on primary pieces; for example you get +135 STR and +150 VIT on the new sky rat harness of fending which means you're losing 6+ AP vs other classes that have all their primary stat = 1 AP, DEX = 1 AP, INT = 1AP etc
