are u using the duty finder

The game's Duty Finder will match you up with other players wanting to do the same dungeon, though sometimes it takes a while (especially when it's a tank and healer you need). You can just register that dungeon in the Duty Finder and wait. After a while, you'll get a pop-up window saying there's a team ready, and you just click "Commence" to enter.

(If you're wanting to do it together with a friend, you should already be in a party with that friend when the leader of your party joins through Duty Finder. You can't add people to your party while waiting on Duty Finder without cancelling that DF registration and starting over.)


Another option is you could post on the Party Finder window looking for teammates to join you. (Mentioning in the comment section that it's your first run for the main quest might get more people interested in joining you.) Or are you in a Free Company? You could ask there for someone to join you. If you're in the Novice Network, that's another place you could ask. Any of these options are for setting up a team in advance. You'd still then use the Duty Finder interface for actually entering the dungeon, but if you have a full team (four players in this case) in your party already, there's no waiting on DF to find you more party members.
