How do I disable right click acting like a left click as well?

My friend is going crazy with this, and the issue is when she left clicks in menus and such, the lift click also acts as a right click, leading to countless unwanted actions. However when you go to click off a buff it needs to be left click, or making actions it has to be left click.

Is there some kind of configuration in the game to change this? she asked the novice network and all they pointed to was mouse itself but other mice do the same thing. She does not want left clicking to be also "enter" in menus.

The first question to ask is does the right click act as a left or right click. If the right click is also acting like a right click, that does indeed point to a physical problem with the mouse.
If Right click is acting as a left click, your friend needs to go into the Mouse Properties and make sure that "Switch primary and secondary buttons" isn't checked. That will swap the functionality of those keys.

I haven't seen anything in the character configuration, system configuration OR the Keybinds menu that would change the mouse buttons functionality.
Also can you tell us if this issue FFXIV specific or occurring in other programs? This really is sounding like a mouse issue so far

I think you can't. I am pretty annoyed with this too, but with different reason. It's for screen rotating, right click accidentally on a character, and then it automatically select that character and made me wondering why the screen doesn't rotate when I move the mouse after right clicked = ="

Just ffxiv, I guess I left that part out, weird I thought I said it.

Check the key bind tab in game or if she's using a gaming mouse, have her check the macro's or/and gaming software that comes with it. I remember as I played a other game a while back, it would use my "older" macros I have used for a whole different game, however since the key placement/binds were identical my Lg20 thought it's the same game and just overwrote the default settings. Not saying that might be the case here, but it doesn't hurt to double check both software and in game settings.
