Obviously those that have responded thus far either weren't around and had put in the work for the ARR relic to recall when HW was released the out rage of those that had finished their relic to have found out the relic they worked so hard to build getting used as a trade in to skip one simple step for the new relic line.

Those players had spent the time and the millions of Gil building that relic just for it to get tossed away like garbage. Sure they put in replicas of the original but all I'm saying is more quests should be put in to continue building both relics up so it isn't just a time sink that gets outdated.

Quests to build up the old relic? Sure, let's say you can take your level 50 relic and upgrade it to level 60. We'll have a whole new quest line, with new models for each step. We can call it... the Anima questline!

It is one giant upgrade questline. It is. It's broken up so that you can start at the latest expansion (with extra work), but it is one giant upgrade questline, just like you're asking for.

Remember the i125 step, where you take the Nexus weapon and turn it into a Zodiac Brave weapon? It's not the same weapon anymore, you basically used the old one as a crafting mat. It's the same thing going to the Anima quests.

Edit: Specifically, if you recall, we had Mutamix convert the relic weapon into Materia, because it couldn't be perfected further. That Materia was used as a material to help recreate the Zodiac Brave weapon, a new starting point. The Zodiac Brave weapon can't be perfected further, so we need to use it in helping to forge a new weapon, a new starting point. We've done it before, and we'll do it again and again.
