    Thought we were back in 2.56 for a min there when they announced Drk would be PIE based, and how quickly they realised that was a bad idea. If SE realised it was a bad idea, why would you think it would be? Gear for damage to recover greater amounts of that MP, your piety does nothing, literally nothing during battle.

    This is why we need more interesting main stats and secondary stats. Main stats should do more than just give us BIG NUMBERS and allow us other reasons to branch out to other main stats.

    That would be nice, yeah. As it stands, there's no real reason to keep STR DEX MND INT VIT PIE around. Ditch them all, and replace them with a stat called STAT. Your STAT will contribute to your damage, determine your HP, and determine your MP. The more STAT you have, the better! Actually, I guess we don't even need STAT. Just have average ilvl determine these things. Secondary stats will be the ONLY stats!

    I'd actually like to see DPS parses for this. As a healer, tanks aren't squishy on bosses normally, its trash where it gets interesting. So 'tankiness' isn't really a concern there, from a healer point of view. So damage output is a bit more important in theory (of course some bosses are different). If more MP allows for a higher DPS rotation, I'd like to see proof of it.

    Otherwise its a bandaid fix for a bad or lazy playstyle, in which case this would be, 'meh'.

    Unless hes using incorrect accossories in the first place (aka: not fending ones) his meld-choice doesnt influence his 'tankiness' aka his HP at all. However he choose piety (MP) over strength (the second stat thats used to calculate his damage output), so I cant see how his damage output would be higher when the actual stats that influence it are lower.
    Except ofc when he cant use his drk-skills properly and the higher mp ensures he still can use dark arts and stuff...

    I tried it a while back. Not worth it. Piety doesnt increase the MP pool as much as its worth and hardly even gives you another use of dark arts.

    Stick to determination and critical hit .

    It increases max mp, because of dark side you have 0 natural regen. Effectively you only increased your max mp by X(let's say 1000)
    That means the moment your mp is 1000(or X) less than max, it literally does nothing.
