    Quing as Party

Am I the only one that's annoyed with the auto freelance for party ques in shatter? I que with a friend who is also in the flames but we keep getting thrown into everyone but flames. I understand and appreciate it doing that for friends in different GCs, but if everyone is in the same GC it should still send you to that one instead of this forced freelance.

That's strange. When we go in as a light (<8) party where most members are Adders (the leader being Adder) it will always put us in Adders. That doesn't matter how big the party is. Are you sure you don't have Freelancer selected? The idea behind it was that an Alliance couldn't queue together as 8-man parties would be randomised, not partial parties.

It doesn't really matter in the long run what GC you get thrown into though, right? I personally don't see why this is an issue at all. You'll still get credit for your Grand Company Horse and other achievements based on what GC you are in not the one you get freelanced to.

Players will be matched irrespective of Grand Company requirements when registering for Frontline while in a party.

    * Players will take part in Frontline as freelancers, regardless of whether or not they have checked the Frontline Freelancer option.

Since 3.55a, parties automatically queue as freelancer. If you happen to always get the GC you belong to, that's probably luck.

I believe the way it works is that if there's a slot you'll get pushed into it, so if you're a duo and the Adders are struggling with queues you'll be pushed onto Adders to speed things up for everyone in the queue.

If you're a larger party, or a duo where is no slot free for anyone but those queueing solo, it will start a new FL instance and default to putting you on your home team then populating the other groups around that. So in those larger groups you'll find yourself on your home team more often.

That's just my impression from queueing at weird times on a backwater datacenter. When I team up with my (Adder) friend and start the queue myself I'll end up on Maelstrom almost every time, but when she leaves and I go back to solo queueing I'll suddenly be flung onto Flames and have much faster queue times. I always deliberately use Freelance because I want as many games as possible.

I'm more annoyed that it does this for all parties, no matter the size. Look SE, me and my BF duo queuing can't carry enough people to justify placing us on a random team when we'd rather PVP with our Adders regulars, can you just stop with that already? Make it like 4 or 6 or higher...that number can actually influence a match a bit, not two measly people.

Oh well, at least we can still queue together, so I'm sure I should quit complaining before that gets taken away too.
