So you're leaving because a strong weapon is easy to get when in about 3 months everything will be obsolete...
Okay sure, you're not throwing a tantrum at all and are being completely reasonable. Take care, have fun, see you at Stormblood.

People keep missing the bigger point that something greater than 2 of the best weapon accomplishments/rewards in game was literally patched in, out of cycle, and available by means far less demanding or involved than the other two. Seriously, it's not the weapon. It's the method. It's the bad precedent it sets. It's the idea that they can do this whenever they want, and expect people to be okay with it.
Sure, you might argue "well it doesn't take away from me getting good gear/weapons already" or "there's going to be better stuff later anyways", but if we're playing that card, why bother raiding now? There's gonna be a new raid in a few more months. And then another tier after that. Oh, and dungeon gear will be better than that raid gear anyways, so why bother doing anything? I mean, why not just wait for catch up patch handouts?
Rhetoric aside, I've said time and again, no one wants to feel like their efforts weren't worth it. Raiders don't want to feel like the time and effort they put into applying their skills to obtain high end raid rewards are easily overstepped by an RNG addition in sub-raid level content. And while the relic is meant to be a long, less demanding road, it's always been meant to produce one of the best results. Except once more, easily overstepped, and low chance of obtaining it hardly justifies the precedent it sets.
Again, if anyone doesn't possibly get it after 40 pages: The weapon itself is not what bothers people. The idea that time, effort, and skill put into obtaining what's established as high end rewards can be so easily overstepped by content less demanding of those 3 factors.
At this point we should seriously just put the reason we're not OK with this in our sigs so people who stil don't understand why some of us aren't OK with this can constantly be reminded.People keep missing the bigger point that something greater than 2 of the best weapon accomplishments/rewards in game was literally patched in, out of cycle, and available by means far less demanding or involved than the other two. I can only hope our voices are louder than the ones that are dismissing the issue, less we get stronger than current raid tier weapons put in Aquapolis....
What if they only did it because we are at the end of this expansion cycle lol o:
it would be nice if they let shire weapon upgrades, and probably reduced the gears needed to make the weapons, otherwise i get why they did it, and being someone still working on the lights for my relic, i have to also agree that people have a right to be mad about this timing. hell even raiders, probably if they want to be, considering the stats on the weapons are probably more like 290. Hearing that these fates dont even provide lights, im probably not even going to bother entering until im done, And then i have no real desire to do fates, with a greed only lotting system, especially unless the gear drops as much as it did in original diadem, which i highly doubt it does
No your voices are falling of deaf ears because you have no concept of design and are being overly paranoid for no reason. you all sound as bad as the people made that the relic replaced their a12 weapon. its not a precedent its bait to do the new revampAt this point we should seriously just put the reason we're not OK with this in our sigs so people who stil don't understand why some of us aren't OK with this can constantly be reminded.

Of course it's bait to run the new Diadem, I'm not denying that.
What I'm saying is, if SE sees enough people perfectly fine with this, they could easily do it again with other failed content they want runned by people. Or go even further and use this as bait to keep RNG based content like Aquapolis and Gold Saucer thriving.
It's overall not something we should ignore and turn our backs to.
At this point we're left with people that don't want to understand. They simply want to rage against anyone that in their eyes has the audacity to speak out against the i280s. Time and again we have made our arguments, and time and again those arguments and explanations are outright ignored. There is no attempt at empathy or understanding, just condemnation. At this point we should seriously just put the reason we're not OK with this in our sigs so people who stil don't understand why some of us aren't OK with this can constantly be reminded.

that goes both ways.At this point we're left with people that don't want to understand. They simply want to rage against anyone that in their eyes has the audacity to speak out against the i280s.
