Anima was not BiS until 3.55a. Raid was better. Hell, even the Kinna were better during the umbrite phase. So yes, nine days. And again, for people who made one purely for BiS until SB, this was a kick to the crotch.

A week later and I still don't care there is a 280 weapon. The work I put in my anima was not a waste of time because I am still getting plenty of use out of it and will get plenty of use out of it for the next 4 months. It's the end of the patch cycle. They threw a carrot out there to give something for people to chase until 4.0 if they want to. I haven't lost one bit of sleep over this. It's just a game. Yoshi is right, people need to calm down.
This. You don't have to care. For the people that DO care what sticking a random weapon behind RNG content means and implies for the future of the game, let us voice our opinion to SE.
Criticism is what helps a game grow and improve, not giving it passes everytime it messes up.
Cant they express the opinion that they are concerned for the door's condition?
Who honestly did, though? I think no one expected the Anima to become BiS, I think many thought the quest was over with 3.50.
If you started and finished the whole anima quest line within those 9 days, you deserve one hell of an award, though.

Man, seeing the number of people salty here reminds me of trying to make a RARE 10 weapon in Monster Hunter. So many hours lost chasing 6 1% drop items from the hardest bosses in game...
Good times.
Never done that, but can relate. I do some things for the rewards, but I know those rewards are fleeting, especially in an MMO that is still in active development. For me, the real reward is to be able to say: I did it!
I gave up after 75 runs of a 40 minute fight with only two drops I needed. I prefer having a full head of hair. :P Honestly, this I280 weapon is just another way to gear up and I don't see any issues at all with it being implemented SIX MONTHS after the latest raid tier has been both released and absolutely trounced. Just enjoy the content you enjoy, if you want this weapon do Diadem. If you don't, do whatever content you enjoy, the Coven weapons are, in the grand scheme of things, functionally worthless, IMHO.
I have no hair on my head but agree :P
I don't care for this weapon. I did a few Diadems, I may try more in the future. If I get it, great, if not, no biggie. Soon my Anima will be obsolete, but I still will have the achievement in my list to brag about having done it (once I'm done, I am still grinding Singing Clusters, and have zero desire to stop working towards it.)
You're over the most time consuming part! I just hit the light farm on my third relic and I'm legitimately considering starting up a fourth relic to see if I can finish it before SB hits once I finish my MCH weapon. It's so hard to decide!I have no hair on my head but agree :P
