PAX 2017 : Request the next new Job

Dancer as a support job or DPS. Not healer or tank.

An actual pet class would be nice too...

I've been wondering that myself. I'm guessing it's an RP thing or something.

I don't care if Alchemist is in the game already, Chemist healer.

Dancer is a class that has been in as many FF as Samurai. So..I guess Samurai is an RP thing too? =P Its my favorite class in my favorite FF game, FFT. Also was a really fun job in FFXI, and whether FFXI haters on this forum like it or not...FFXI still counts as a FF game.

This question​ came about as someone wanted a new tank like a puppetmaster tank.

So What Job should be or would you like to be implemented next. (Possibly half way through 4.0 maybe a bit like what happened with Ninja in ARR)

Red Mage and Samurai were very popular choices from us.

Correct after we have played the upcoming expansion, however he stated as you mentioned, please let us know what job/class we would like to see next! Not what role you would like to see. So that means, he's not asking for a Job suggestion including a role suggestion. If anything and they would go the ninja route (even tho they mentioned that they would never do that again), that 3rd job that might get added mid expansion would be probably another DPS, and not a tank or healer. Unless they are going to add 2 (extra) new jobs, and I don't see that happening. All I can say is, be careful what you're wishing for, might end up with Blue Mage/ Dancer/ Beast - Puppet Master etc. as DPS and not as many people hoping for tank/heals.

Attorney (Tank)

You know all those clickable things in dungeons? Attorney has to check each one and they gain their abilities in dungeons to use against the bosses. In the open world and story-based dungeons, they'd get attacks based on story. Weapon is their pointer finger.

No more DPs, neither Blue Mage tank, neither beast master tank, and no hammer tank. Then they can do whatever they want.

Just going to spitball a few class ideas here so...
Juggler I would main forever. Loved them in Final Fantasy Tactics Advance.
Magitek Knight? Something with a Gunblade would be fun.
I'd like to see a whip using class.
Some sort of beast taming class.
Could make Blue Mage into one of the alternatives that there is like Vampire, Gun Mage or Catmancer. If normal Blue doesn't work.
Dancer would be fun.
Two long shot classes could be MOG Knight other Onion Knight.

Given the nature of how long it takes for them to create, test and implement with current and future content in mind, suggesting a job now is about the right time. Personally I hope in 5.0 they go back to the one tank, dps (ranged or melee) and healer respectively. My picks are:

Tank - Beastmaster
Healer - Chemist
DPS - Arithmetician

The latter is just a joke (but not really) as the idea of being able to manipulate your own damage trough mathematics always intrigued an no I am not talking about simple buffs like B4B or raging, but rather using current in-game situations to best maximize your dps. Example of a simple single cast spell:

Multiple of 2 (Stance that increases potency x1.5) > Demi (100 potency) + target HP (If target HP is multiple of 2 crit increased 30%) = Demi (150 potency)

The stances can be switched on and off similar to cleric and have a total of 4 with it being Multiple of 2, Multiple of 3, Multiple of 5, Prime Number respectively. However given the deterioration of meaningful job play styles and rigid rotations of all jobs I highly doubt such a class with a high skill ceiling would even exist in this game. Simply due to the lack of skill the majority of the player base has to attempt such a feat as doing math to dps while dodging aoes.
