Of course I’m sure there are DoH/DoL that want to be helpful to others, but if we make it so it’s required to have certain items that only a crafter or gatherer can create or make it advantageous in battle to have those items, now we’ll have the battle classes get angry about it “why do i have to farm gil to pay these crafters and gatherers?” so it’s a very difficult balance to strike. We would love to try it of course… but in baby steps. Sometimes people are very contradictory to one another, but again, I understand the sentiment."

    Understood the sentiment? Didn't even understand the question.... @yoshi look up ffxi synergy system. Crafters and gatherers want content where they have to work together to achieve something that's all, they don't necessarily want to mingle with DoW/M.

    I was just thinking I wish someone would bundle all the Q&As up, thanks~! I have no idea who was there, I assume there will be more but do we have a list or anything? Would be great if we could keep one thread instead of twelve haha.

    Being fair the question included 1.0's hamlet defense as example, which as I've read around here it involved battle, craft and land classes, his explanation is that battle players don't want to depend on crafters/gatherers to get things done, and used Anima's crafting portion as example of where they got player backlash for trying to integrate crafters into the dynamic, likewise with Zodiac.

    In the Anima weapon content, introducing the part about using a crafted item, there was a lot of backlash against that.
    That was because they had to be HQ, four of them, took multiple specializations, and rare/expensive materials requiring going to diadem.

    Next time, make it a single NQ item with absolutely no specialization requirements from materials that can be obtained from gathering out in the world, a single vendor special vendor item at a reasonable price (think the prices of the items you need for Zhloe), and a few unspoiled node items that do NOT require any of the special folklore books to gather. THAT is how the anima should have been from day one.
