My advice is Fates, Leveling Roulette and Hunting Log until you reach 30. then spam PoTD. doing PoTD before getting your job is annoying as you will have to reset progress

Easiest way is: MSQ, Palace (51-60 and repeat) and maybe Roulette (only because you go nuts if you only run Palace). That gives fast exp and if you get your Palace Gear on +90 you can get a ilvl 255 Weapon for Level 60. But you won't lear how to play your class by doing Palace, same goes for Fates.
Depends on your style. I would suggest dungeons and story line so youl earn your job properly. IF you do Palace of the Dead or Fate grinding you will miss out on personal experience and actual combat with team co op. Dungeons also give more XP as well and if you have a tank buddy even faster to do.
thx Ilan & Manu - thats what im talking bout ^^
POTD 51-100 makes for easy levels and gelmorran shards for bonus materia, I would get 99/99 aetherpool arm and armor and hold that number till you're 60.
Ps. Learning a job can come at any time, dungeons only teach tanks and healers, striking dummies teach DPS. I got NIN 60 like fairly recent, youtubed an opener, practiced on a dummy for 15 minutes and now I hit harder than most people who maimed their job since 2.0...
While those are nice incentives I would probably recommend more of a mix. Being that Palace of the dead can be soloed by most jobs to from floor 1-110 which can make it really into a free for all depending on players. . Dungeons give more of an actual group co operation situation were it's more essential to work as a team. Speed runs in Palace of the Dead can vary based on player experience but I see it more of a tome, shard, glamor, and Kianna farming once your capped being that gears doesn't really matter and aetherpool does. If your soloing it as a challenge is a nice way to test your skills. Otherwise I would at least do t he dungeons on and off to learn them for mechanics and speed runs. Most runs take 15-20 min with right group. By the way , Dummies don't hit back :P just gauge damage and help you get a feeling for cool downs in a safe environment. Live combat is the best experience in my opinion. You could also learn the basics as a sprout by doing challenges, but that is more of 1-15+POTD 51-100 makes for easy levels and gelmorran shards for bonus materia, I would get 99/99 aetherpool arm and armor and hold that number till you're 60.

I noticed that the fates in Diadem have the potential to give exp. You can see an exp icon when you complete it, but it would say "0" when you're level 60. Though I was under the impression you had to be level 60 to enter... wondering if this was intentional?

Palace is my go to for leveling up to 50, after that.... I see the MSQ/dungeons with the ilevel being the hindrance.

I think that will be for lvl60 to lvl70 come Stormblood. Alternatively, in ARR the lvl50 instances still showed the Exp you could get but it was always set to zero as you had to be lvl50 to get in. Come Heavensward I believe that they started to show the Exp again because of the raise in level cap.
a bit after HW yeah... lvl50-51 was just dump with the release... but yeah shortly after HW the lvl50 inis gave experience. ^^
