This period before 2.0 has been likened to a year long seasonal event by Yoshi. Seasonal events always have SOME element of lightheartedness in them. This moogle stuff is perfectly appropriate. I expect once 2.0 hits to see silly stuff like this relegated to actual seasonal events with a few exceptions, but for now it's fine and even fun and different.
