New diadem weapons invalidating any work from savage raiders and relic grinders

So I finally got enough allied seals to get my Gridanian disciple of war body glamour;
And wouldn't you know it, SE comes out next week with a new rank and new body piece that casuals can buy with seals.

Why doesn't SE give a damn about their hard core players!?

You know what else will invalidate all the work savage raiders and relic farmer have put in? Stormblood.
This is the same in every MMORPG every time there is an expansion, your gear become useless quickly, giving high ilvl easily obtainable is a good thing, it gives casuals a chance at having better gears jumping into the expansion makes it easier on early level and might give casuals an incentive to do some harder content before the end of the expac since they would have an easier time with the boost from gears, wich also means it brings a new stream of player into content that is in dire need of partecipation.
It all won't matter in a few months, so just reap the benefits.

The difference is the invalidation of old gear an expansion brings also brings a host of new content & a new raid tier to work on.

Relic's purpose is to help between patches, not the end result.

Also, relic was literally better than any A12 weapon just by doing some dungeons, "invalidating" any work that raiders did, and I haven't seen anybody going mad about it.

Did all raiders forget that Creator actually drop someting else than weapons ? It's not like A12S would drop the best body pieces, right ?

Because the relic is the culmination of time & effort, casual or otherwise. It's not the product of some FATE-styled RNG snoozefest.

All it takes is one good dice roll and suddenly you've invalidated weeks of grinding savage or weeks of grinding the relic..

Try 2000+ dice rolls to get that one good dice roll, because that's probably the average amount of times you need to enter diadem to get the weapon that you desire and that doesn't include getting favorable stats on it.

Way to go square you basically ruined the balance of your game until SB launches.

Yeah... stormblood in 3 months... so why does it matter? those that raided before will still raid. those that didn't before might now TRY raiding, they might not. this in no way affects what you do on a daily basis on final fantasy. There is a still a chance that you will be able to trade in your anima weapon to skip the next step of whatever special weapon will come in stormblood

Aaand have a savage weapon be better than it for 94% of the time then have it be replaced in 2 weeks.

Well first up is that these weapons have a lot of RNG surounding them since they drop from the emergency mission which doesn't pop on every session

and my other point I would say is in 3 months these weapons will be crap since we will have lvl 70 ilvl 300 weapons to replace them
