I wanna know, how can i play without monthly subscription required ? maybe i can pay 20 dollars then i'll play without monthly subscription required or must buy "FINAL FANTASY® XIV: Heavensward™" + "FINAL FANTASY XIV: Stormblood"

There is no way to play the game without paying the monthly subscription. You only get 30 days of free play time when you first buy the game (or an expansion including 30 days of free play time).

i hope they will never do that. Because when MMO switches from p2p to f2p it's a sign that the game loses playerbase.

Could just go b2p like ESO, that game is in a good place since switching. (Which is what I think he was asking about)

Disclaimer: I usually still end up paying for the "optional" sub in f2p or b2p mmo's anyway.

Except games like LoTRO, Rift and ESO demonstrate that the game fundamentally changes character when it goes F2P/B2P and in those three games at least, for the worse, either due to a change in the types of people that play 'free' games or more insidiously the game's designers begin to make content designed at its core to 'drive' Store sales.

I don't know about the first two but ESO comes out with new content quite frequently and expansions (with yet another one out this summer), it still has a pseudo "sub" feature that lets you have unlimited access to those expansions and a great amount of premium currency to go along with it. Not to mention the cash shop is entirely cosmetic except for a few negligible ease-of-life things. It's much better than it was at it's launch, in my opinion.

That doesn't mean that I am personally for FFXIV to go b2p, I'll pay the sub if I enjoy the game, and I won't go around petitioning for it to go b2p either. Just saying it isn't necessarily always the end of the world if it did.

Nothing to be fixed. FF11 is still subscription nearly 15 years later so if waiting for this to go F2P you will be in for a long wait.

There's nothing to fix as those subscriptions pay the developers' salaries. FFXI has been a subscription game for years and years after release so it's likely that FFXIV will continue this way for a long time (probably for its full lifespan).

Beyond the free trial and the 30 days that comes with the purchase of the game, theres no way to continue playing without making some sort of payment to the company. Sorry.

However, there is an option for people who dont have credit cards and therefore cant set up a regular monthly payment. There are game time cards you can buy from various retailers(gamestop, amazon, etc) that work as a pseudo-subscription. You buy the card and add the code to your account, it adds 30 or 60 days to how long you can continue playing.
