Why 280 weapons?

Im thinking the drop rate on this is gona be so bad that it will be pretty rare to even see people with them.

After having run diadem once, I can honestly say I belive farming a12s or grinding the relic is easier than running the boredom-filled diadem long enough to get a 280 weapon for your class with good stats. I couldn't even last the full time in there, nothing to do but spam fates.

I haven't even done the new Diadem and I'm not gonna rage over an ilvl280 weapon that will soon be useless because Stormblood will have ilvl290 weapons ready (and with future patches/expansions, even stronger ones will come). Furthermore, with RNG being the decider on who gets the weapon, not too many players are gonna have it, only a few due to luck.

I hope that the stats are good because I'll be damned I spent hours grinding in Diadem and get a 280 weapon with trashy stats; at that point, I would be super grateful that I worked hard to achieve my Anima weapon.

Seems like once again a reward for being lazy.
Don't want to do hard content for bis gear? Don't worry hunts will catch you up.
don't want to level up in dungeons and learn your class? Don't worry potd will level you up.
don't want relic or savage weapon? Zerv ex parties asking you to know how to do a dps rotation and learn mechanics? Here's a better weapon for not trying.

I spent two years getting my Sindri Lux, plus the two years I spent on Zeta-Nirvana, and now you do this??? After I spent FOUR YEARS getting this weapon that is supposed to be the best in the game??? WHY?
I'm really angry right now. For many classes, weapon damage and mainstat are more important than any secondary that might be on the weapon, and if it carries just one decent one... I don't care how rare it is. I don't care that stats are random. I don't care that you can do with a 275 just fine. I don't care about any of it. This is an outright insult to anyone who actually WORKED for their stuff, like me and many of my friends. GG, SE, gg.

I hope you are prepared for the shitstorm you caused, and I would seriously recommend to either lift level of the 275 weapons on the same niveau as the Diadem one, or downgrade Diadem by 5 ilvl, if not by 10. Then it would be somewhat fair again. SOMEWHAT.

I don't get it..lol. Whenever people ask for Horizontal content it gets shot down and mocked pretty hard on this forum...now when you all see the results from the vertical type content...yall complaining? Poor Yoshida, he can never win.

Should expect stuff to be like this with a game that resets as quickly as six months and with this type of vertical climbing. I never cared for it and always supported more horizontal type content.

A weapon hardly anyone is going to get has zero effect on anyone's effort to grind out a12 or their relic, that's like saying my efforts for grinding mgp are worthless because catpot exists. if you want the best weapon you can get get your relic or do a12 the time you spend trying to grind for the 280 is pretty much wasted given that you'll be able to buy a better weapon for 20k in 3 months.
