I'm sure most of you have already seen the new designs for the loot table of the Good King fight. It seems split down the center of people loving them or hating them. The people who hate them, from most of the posts I've read, do so because they feel they are too gimmicky for an endgame fight.

Consider this, maybe its supposed to be a more gimmicky event item that only players in the next year can obtain. For all we know, the Good King Moogle Mog XII fight won't be in v2.0 because it was a replacement for the Titan fight (SE was trying not to dishonor the citizens of Japan that suffered through the earthquake and tsunami by adding the god of earth.)

It is a given that this game needs more content and people feel that this content is being invalidated by the lack of seriousness in the weapon design. I ask that you try to look at the fight as an event which might be taken out in the future and enjoy it while it lasts. Get the weapons and use them to show off that you stuck through the dark ages of FFXIV.

As for people saying that the Moogle loot and fight doesn't match up to previous Final Fantasy standards of lore, think about what the Moogles' think of themselves. They are a cutesy race of incredibly strength and are fully aware of both of these aspects. Given that in most games they are a fairly peaceful race, don't you think they would design their weapons in a sort of comical approach. A weapon designed to make others laugh instead of wanting to fight all the while the Moogle knows if they have to, they can kill the person in a blink of an eye.
