While I don't support early pulling, the obvious takeaway from this is that if you value hunts, then prioritize them and don't just hope everyone who did make it a priority feels like waiting for you to finish whatever it is you're doing.

Meh... I spawned bonnacon and waited for 5 mins before pulling it, and yet somebody still called me as an early puller because there is always someone that's daydreaming in some far away lands.. and the drama did not stop at that hunt, these bunch of players decided to badmouth my name when I joined a pf and asked the leader to kick me because I was a "verified early puller"..During recent months (I'm not a long time player so it may have been happening a lot more often) I've noticed hunts being broadcast in different Hunt LS and people immediately arriving and pulling the mob so to rob the hunters arriving of any rewards. I know this causes player angst and, whilst I rarely miss out, I can understand the gaming frustration it causes. Just wondering if it might be possible to place a timer on hunt mobs (3 min for A & B, 5 min for S) that is set by the 1st person to spot it and to make it invulnerable for that period so to avoid the early pullers and allow sufficient time for people to attend?
When someone is late in the hunt, they are by no means have a right to be angry if they don't get the reward.
no such thing as early pulling. People call out hunts to be nice, no one has any obligation to call out hunts. Waiting for people to gather is also being nice, as again no one has an obligation to wait. Also note that people are not/should not be forced to wait forever as people do form hunt trains to kill off all As that are up.
If you ever played any ff11, my G/f would tell you: hnm were cut throat, so be lucky people wait at all in ff14. A lot of fighting happen in ff11 over hnm bots claiming the mobs while the group gets ready. Only that group was allowed to kill it, and get the reward. Most of them was under a 24-78 hour timer, and a few were needing for Must get gear for certain jobs.

Early pulling is the concept of pulling a hunt mob without giving a reasonable amount of time for immediate responders to teleport in and arrive. It is a real thing, but it is entirely a social construct. As JunseiKei posted, hunts are open world content, and are treated as such by the GM teams. Some people are more polite than others when it comes to pulling mobs.
What I see as the real issue, which results in many people getting super pissed and blaming early pullers (even though they waited 5 minutes, easily enough time to get to any hunt on a map), is slow response time. I belong to an awesome linkshell that posts as soon as things are found, and many members have macros that spam all of their hunt LS's simultaneously to limit response lag. At the same time, I know there are many other hunt LS's that people manually repost to as they notice calls, without considering the time delay, which causes people to be late to hunts. A good hunt LS makes a world of difference.

As I said, not a long time player... So why have LS and not just form a Hunt Squad and stuff everyone else? If you're going to broadcast a hunt and, as a result the person who early pulls uses your find for his/her own benefit that's okay? Then you may as well make your own team and not broadcast so that they miss out as well as everyone else? 3 - 5 min timer is not a huge wait period especially when you've been waiting hours for a mob to pop. It was only a [suggestion] and could be implemented by placing a timer markers on the mob.

I think announcing and waiting is a courtesy not a requirement. Personally I would prefer if everyone was courteous but accept not all are. For those who aren't karma has a way of balancing everything out. If I'm on the way to a ranked NPC and miss it big deal it's not like it won't pop up again later.

This has been argued so many times before. There is no such thing as early pulling. Hunting is a competitive activity, if you find a hunt, you are just as eligible to kill it as anyone else, so if you and your party can handle it, attack at will. If you want to wait for friends and some other group turns up and pulls, there's nothing you can do and no point being pissed.
