Consider voice chat wasn't always around when Final Fantasy XI, World of Warcraft first started voice over internet programs (VoIP) such as Discord, Teamspeak the like were not around or not very popular/well known.

Yet people did the raids using keyboards and whatever other means of communication. Using the voice chat just makes it quicker or easier to give up commands orders and what to do during a raid fight or something similar.

My opinion whatever works if they do better with voice chat do voice chat if they my opinion whatever works if they do better with voice chat doing voice chat if they in my opinion whatever works if they do better with voice chat do voice chat if they my opinion whatever works if they'd do better with voice chat do voice chat if they my opinion whatever works if they do better with voice chat voice chat if they you better with keyboard then let them get keyboard.

Just whatever the person wants to use you better with keyboard then let them do keyboard just whatever the person wants to use you better with keyboard then let them good keyboard just whatever the person wants to use you better with keyboard than let them get keyboard just whatever the person wants to use you better with keyboard than let them do keyboard just whatever the person wants to use whatever helps them when their gameplay.

Here we go again, I do know a lot of people wish that WoW was the solution to a lot of new ideas/inventions/new genre of gaming etc, but it wasn't, as well as it wasn't the first mmo. There have been other voice programs prior, you know the time before wow was even a thing ?! I understand a lot of today's gamer's weren't around to that time, or not aware of things like that since they weren't implemented for their genre of games etc. For example there was Battlecom, GameVoice and much later on Ventrillo, Mumble, Teamspeak, Discord, Kik were added, and I am pretty sure there's plenty more of these programs, that I can't think off right now.

to the OP, we've played games back in the day and never needed any voice communication. While I do agree it's quicker when using these kind of programs compared to actual typing, I still think it's not necessary. After my first static broke (ts/discord/mumble mandatory even outside of raid times), I tested plenty of other servers, different statics, fc's, cleared lots of content via DF/PF and let me tell you, it was so much more enjoyable than listening to a bunch of people 10+ hrs a day. But those times are gone and with the new generation of gamers/gaming, that's the first thing people will ask you: Do you have VoIP & a microphone?

    Sad times.
