    SCoB Savage at min. iLvl: Is it still doable?

    This is a serious question.

    With the release of patch 3.0 (Heavensward), the weight of secondary stats like det, crit, spell- and skillspeed got heavily reduced.

    As there was no other information, I don't think this change is limited to 51+ content.

    For regular lvl 50 content this is not really an issue.

    Lvl 1-49 and Lvl 50 content with an extra iLvl sync get synced to the max. iLvl of that content with HQ stats (+ materia if present).

    In lvl 50 content without extra iLvl sync you get synced to at least i135 (I've read somewhere its more like i140). So its higher than the max. gear we had before Heavensward (except the weapon).

    In regular Coil you have echo, even when doing it at min. iLvl.

    So ScoB Savage min. iLvl is 105 (max. iLvl was i110 during this tier was "current"). No echo.

    Pre Frinal Coil this content should haven been very hard at i110. So it would be even harder at i105. But with patch 3.0 and up, we also have much weaker secondary stats (and many class changes).

    So my question is: Is ScoB Savage doable with sync to minimum item level?

    I'm not going to make assumptions with how secondary stats work when level synced as I'm unsure if the same stat weight from 51+ are applied at level 50 too, or if they revert to level 50 stat weights when you're synced.

    at i105, you'll be missing a bit of main stat, but a bigger problem will be missing a slight amount of VIT. Even back at i110, using VIT melds on i90/i110 crafted accessories was basically mandatory due to certain mechanics and combinations of mechanics requiring either tons of mitigation (Quad Venom + Fireballs in T7 savage at the same time) (Allagan field/double allagan field in general in T8 savage) (heavensfall in T9 savage) or you could cheese the mitigation checks slightly with vit melds to gain extra HP to help survive.

    If your whole group of 8 pulls very high dps, the main stat loss shouldn't prevent you from clearing. You will however have to take into account your stats are slightly lower than the 'max' at the time, and everyone will have to both co-ordinate and push themselves to the best of their play for the fights to make up for it.

    On the other hand, many skills were enhanced that were unavailable when SCoB was released. For example, Heavy Thrust being a 24s duration instead of 18s duration makes things like double Full Thrust under B4B easy, whereas before it took impeccable timing. A few other potencies for other skills were buffed as well, and new jobs (DRK puts out WAY more DPS as MT than PLD at 50 and has similar mitigation). Tanks in general would have slightly more HP and moderately higher DPS given the STR/VIT changes to their damage formula.

    The secondary scaling isn't flat - it does vary by level. Otherwise +3 of secondaries on leveling gear would do nothing. So your scaling should be what it was in 2.x; in theory SE may have changed it a little due to Crit and SS becoming stronger but I doubt they would have bothered.

    However! You will probably end up below accuracy cap if you sync down from a current gear set. Remember that the accuracy cap increase from 3.0 to 3.2 was toned down, and removed entirely from 3.2 to 3.4. So relative to what used to be required, we are currently wearing far less accuracy and it shows when you try to min sync. Moreover, melds seem to get ignored, so your healers will be at baseline accuracy.

    For these reasons, min syncing hard level 60 content right now is impractical at best, because your group has to either construct high-accuracy i270 sets, or build sets out of gear that's at or below the min ilvl so that melds work again. I imagine you'll have the same problem with SCoB savage.

    Almost positive the reduction to stat weights only applies to 51+ regardless of level sync, but I could be wrong.
