Sidesaddle for all!

Hello,

til yesterday my Mi'qo-friend and I just assumed that Roes and Mi'qos just dont have the sidesaddle animation at all - but then I called my wedding-chocobo and, oh wonder!, both ladies switch into sidesaddle!
Currently midlander-girls and elezen-ladies(?) are sitting sidesaddle for certain mounts (the unicorn for example), but with the animation for the other races being in game aswell, I'm wondering if we cant get this option for ALL races and all mounts that would logical allow for a sidesaddle (so mainly the unicorn and the primal-ponies)

So I have basically three requests:

1) Can all females - no matter the race - get the sidesaddle-option?
2) Can all females - no matter the race - get the option to choose between sidesaddle and... however the normal sitting on a horse is called by using /pose2? I dont care if the transition looks silly - it would simply offer the chance for everyone to pick the animation they prefer.
3) Can the males get something similar? I dont care if they get sidesaddle aswell We dont need special-girls-treatment again!

Again, except for 3), I'd like to remind everyone: The animations are already in the game! They're just not being used - so this wouldnt be to much extra work for the devs!

While I actually really like my existing straddled animations, I'm happy that you considered males too ;_;

It seems wasteful not to use animations which already exist, so why not? If there's no animation for guys riding sidesaddle, we can use the option to switch between the arms-crossed riding and the normal leaning-forward pose. Job done.

But there's no real reason to lock these poses by race, especially if all races are capable of both already depending on the mount. There will be more variety for screenshots etc if everyone case pose their character in a way which fits him/her. They could keep each race's default the same so that people who aren't bothered with /cpose can still conform.

(In the real world I'm a human and irrespective of that I'm pretty sure I can swing a leg over a horse or cross my arms whenever I want to while riding.)

I'm all for that - when it makes sense to me and is tied to the cultural background of the race. I would never ask for race-specific gear or hairstyles to be removed (I'd actually like to see more race-specific gear!) but those are tied to the lore of the races (as in: FemRoes get those hideous wristthings because they're so proud of their arms) while the sidesaddle-option obviously isnt. Roes and Mi'qos have learned how to ride sidesaddle or they wouldnt be able to do it at all.

So yes, I like uniqueness between races, but uniqueness for uniqueness sake seems pretty silly to me - and this seems to be one of those silly cases.

Been wishing I could get rid of the sidesaddle animation on my Elezen for years. Doubly so for the mounts that fly.
+ 1 for free animation choice for all.

I'm always for new poses but I personally would never use the side saddle as I like my character sitting with one leg over each side.

i'm sure it would be as simple as adding in a /cpose command but people with male characters would likely complain a ton even though there never was a male variant of sidesaddle

I would actually prefer they get rid of side saddle. For instances outside of maybe cutesy screen shots, it doesn't look right. Not only will you fall off (side saddle on a Unicorn with no actual saddle or anything to actually hold on to? how are you going to stay on when it jumps or just goes really fast?), but in some cases it kind of just breaks immersion when I'm riding fiercely in to battle as a Paladin... while side saddled *facepalm*

I'm all for having a choice, but I doubt they would do that as it definitely would not be a priority. I would at least like them to REMOVE it from female Hyur. I just want to ride a horse like a normal person, not look dainty all the time. I mean sure some times I want to look cute and like it, but maybe as a change pose option while idling. I certainly don't want to actually be stuck riding a horse side saddle, especially one without anything to actually hold on to and not while I am on my Paladin.

Either way, if they did make this an option I could see it as a Change Pose option like we have with many other animations now.

Since we can apparently all ride both side saddle and conventionally, please explain why in the name of the twelve, one race ries a particular mount side saddle, but another is forbidden to o so, even though the ride side saddle on something else? As much as I appreciate diversity, this is not diversity, it's difference for the sake of difference, much like limiting the designs of basic garments by race is no more than differnce for the sake of difference. It makes no sense logically.
