Can't See Battle Currency

I'm on an alt, and I'm level 50 and I've completed most things needed to gain poetics.
But I the tab is locked!
My friend who is a new character can see it and he has less stuff finished than me.
I'm really mad about this, because I'm about to go into Cape Westwind and I'm not going to get ANY poetics at all but my friend will. It's not fair he will get poetics and I won't.

I checked a few places and Cape Westwind doesn't give poetics. Any poetics your friends gets will be from doing it via a roulette and they'll be the bonus from the roulette.

It looks like the first thing you'll unlock which gives poetics is Castrum Meridianum which is shortly after Cape Westwind. So basically you haven't missed out on anything, you just haven't yet done any content that gives it.

It's just.. Me and my friend are at the same part on story. I'm just confused on how he is able to see his battle currency.

Tch.. Apparently he said he had the battle currency unlocked even before he did beast tribe stuff. I'm sorry but this shit bugs me..even though I really shouldn't worry about it.
He was saying he had them at level 20. But I don't know how that's possible.
Is it cuz he was a recruited friend? That makes no sense tho.
This is so stupid but..whatever.
I really don't want to stress over about it.

He might have participated in a hunt - I believe A and S ranks give poetics.

Really don't worry about it though. There's nothing to unlock, you just don't seem them until you actually earn one.
